Jin and Russell Brown's Alaska Vacation

With the planning assistance of Margaret Centers of Morris Travel of Augusta, Jin and Russell Brown of Grovetown took a thirteen-day Alaska vacation in September 2009. The trip included a seven-day Inside Passage cruise from Vancouver, British Columbia, to Anchorage on Sapphire Princess (Princess Cruises). The cruise was followed by a tour of interior Alaska highlighted by a two-day visit to Denali National Park and Preserve. At 20,320 feet, Denali (Mt. McKinley) is the highest peak in North America. The Browns previously cruised in Alaska in May 2007 on Holland America Lines' MS Amsterdam, also with the help of Morris Travel.

Viking Cruise – Budapest to Amsterdam
This is a wonderful picture overlooking Budapest. We leave on Wednesday for the Viking Cruise – Paris and the Beaches of Normandy – and are doing the Paris pre cruise. Hank McKenney called me on Thursday about the Men’s Ministry and commented “I sure wish we were going to France w/ya’ll”. I said call Margaret and come on and go. By Friday afternoon Margaret had them on the cruise portion of the trip w/us (they didn’t want to do the pre cruise) and their flight arrangements made.

In addition to the Panama Canal cruise w/Holland America, I believe we have taken four other Holland America cruises. As you can see, we are very fond of Holland America and Viking – though at the moment Viking is our first choice. Margaret is always our first and only choice.

Beaver Creek

We visited Beaver Creek, Co in February and had a wonderful time. There was lots of fresh powder. The resort village was inspired by the architectural details of an alpine European destination. We enjoyed a sleigh ride and a fabulous dinner at the top of the mountain. The ski instructors were very helpful and the accommodations were charming.
